Our Beauty Queen

This is our Holland-the beauty queen who loves to look at herself in the mirror and pose for pictures. She is a handful for sure, but so enjoyable to watch her imagination at work. She constantly talks to her "friends" as she goes about her day. Her only real play is imaginative play. She rarely plays with toys. She snitches papers that are important and puts them in her purses-it's agonizing! She is a great helper in the kitchen always baking or cooking with me. She's cuddly and snuggly and totally independent at the same time. She keeps us on our toes most of the day!

Halloween

Okay, I'm sad to say that we only have 1 picture from Halloween. I am working on getting more from obthers. As you know, our family along with another family throw a big party every year. This was our 3rd year doing it and this year we did it out at our friends' new home and property. They have a wonderful set-up beside their large pond-a gorgeous picnic shelter with a fireplace, electricity, running water, and even an old outhouse that's been converted into a more modern bathroom. We had beautiful fall weather, lots of wonderful food, true hayrides through the woods and a lot of great kiddos in cute costumes. I will post more pictures as I get them!

Our Little Big Man

Here are a few pics of Shep so you can see how much he's grown. Just in the past few days he's become more expressive and more aware-especially of Rowan and Holland. He has no lack for lovin' and is smothered continually in kisses, loves, and hugs. He gets plain MAD when no one's paying him any attention. He's a good sleeper, but still wakes up one time a night to eat and then right back to sleep. Sometimes he takes a pacifier and sometimes he sucks his thumb. We all just adore him and think he's a great addition to our family!

2 wheels

About 2 weeks ago John decided it was time to remove the training wheels. Rowan was totally on board. His bike is very small and low to the ground, so he was eager to try it out, knowing his falls would be minimal. He's quick to try new things when he knows he'll be good at them. Aren't we all? John got him goin in the yard at first to build up confidence, but they quickly moved to the driveway. We live at a busy corner where there is only a 2-way stop. So, John set up some cones to teach Rowan how to turn before the end of the driveway. He was up and riding completely on his own with total control in about 45 minutes total. He's a quick study!
