We have a shopper!

A few days ago I took the children with me to Gymboree to purchase a baby shower gift for a friend. I knew we would only be there for about 10 minutes so I took Holland out of her stroller. One might think this was a BIG mistake, but I'm glad I did because what I saw not only amazed me, but made me and the entire store laugh.
Once given her freedom, Holland took things to a whole new level-she began "shopping". At gymboree they have racks of clothing down almost at eye level of a toddler. She began looking through the clothes, pulling them out and talking to herself about them. She would even hold some up saying "this cute", "that cute", "cute".
I knew she was into clothes and shoes as I often find her going through her drawers and attempting to try things on. She has always wanted to pick out her own shoes-usually the red ones. She just may have a little priss in her. So fun to have a girl!

In the words of R.Barnes (age 4!!!) "I know one thing's for sure, it's HOT-smickety-smack!" Later that night he also said, "I know one thing's for sure, it's hotter than hot chocolate out there."
And he's right because it's been over 100 degrees for5 days in a row. He unfortunately is not able to spend much time riding his big boy bike outside right now. Perhaps in September or October for that matter we can make our way back outside. I think August is going to be a hot one.
Ro's birthday was really great. We celebrated with some friends and ate funfetti brownies and later went to Moe's for dinner. It was a bonus b/c kids eat free on Tuesday nights. All in all, he had a great day. As I was putting him to bed I was overwhelmed with the thought that I have a 4 year old. OMG I can hardly believe it, but I totally love it-and him!
