Tonsilitis/Adnoiditis
Sounds made up, doesn't it? I assure you-it's not. Yes, our Holland is sick yet again. The poor sweet thing just can't stay well. She has been absolutely pitiful the past few days. I am happy to say that after an antibiotic injection she has perked up a bit. Our pediatrician is a gem-calls us to check up on her during his off hours and even tells us to call him in the middle of the night if we need to! We will be visiting the ENT on June 5 for a consult (sooner if there's a cancellation) on Holland's inability to fight off infection in this area of her body
Every time this happens I find myself saying (to myself)-why can't we just FIX her? Ha! If only life worked that way and we could just fix everything that didn't quite fit into our lives. Although I feel terrible for her and want her to be okay, I DO realize I can't just fix the things that happen naturally in this world. Being able to FIX things that bother us or inconvenience us would negate our need for God in our lives. Fooling ourselves into believing that we can handle all things on our own and mechanically or otherwise put things back together just frustrates and disappoints us. This is a lesson I continually learn and seem to be none wiser despite the amount of times I go through these kinds of circumstances.
Keep praying for her health-that she'll outgrow this problem or that we can surgically FIX the problem. I'm open to whatever is best for her. And I'm open to the fact that I can't control it no matter how hard I try!

we're praying for her to get better soon! as for beach pictures we forgot our camera:( so we're waiting for the hard copies to scan in....more to come.
This is when we most wish we were close by to help out some. We're praying for Holland and all of you.
Love, Mema & Papa
I caught up on all your news tonight. Holland reminds me of Joanna. Didn't she have similar medical problems? And, come to think of it, didn't grandmother Jacqui? She is in my prayers.
I also heard some good stories about John's experiences with his new job. Sounds like a great move for you John. This kind of work is very interesting.
Rowan--I love your orange shoes. I have a pair that color also.
Jennifer--lucky you for the nice weather. We're having nothing but June gloom for the last few months.
