Charleston

John and I had a wonderful trip to Charleston this past weekend. He had surprised me a couple of months ago saying he had made reservations to celebrate my birthday. As it turns out we had more than just my birthday to celebrate. After several years and a long journey down a path we had no idea where it would lead, God has blessed John with a new job opportunity!!! It is official-John has resigned from Wachovia and will begin a new job with WHM Capital Advisors in the very near future. He is excited to learn the art of business valuation, offer some expertise in business consulting, and manage a large sum of money in a fund (this is largely unspecified as I'm not exactly SURE what exactly John will be doing). I am so proud of him for following through on his dreams of working for an entreprenuial small firm where he can "get paid for doing things he loves" and "really have an impact".

As for our trip, we ate great food, had lots of uniterrupted time to soak in our future and make our plans, walk all around Charleston shops, take a carriage tour, and thoroughly enjoy the weekend of an unscheduled agenda.
